Patrol Division

The patrol division, as with any agency, is the most visible element of the police department. The Lebanon Police Department patrol division is comprised of four patrol shifts that provide 24 hour, city-wide coverage. They are the first response to any citizen’s call for assistance.

The philosophy of the patrol division is high visibility and proactive policing through officer initiated activity. The duties of patrol are general in nature. Those duties include, but are not limited to: enforcing traffic and criminal laws; answering and investigating complaints and disturbances; apprehending criminal offenders; crime prevention activities; community relations.
