Crime Analysis

Our Criminal Analysis Unit is composed of one civilian position that collects, evaluates, collates, analyzes reports, disseminates, and reevaluates criminal intelligence for use by the Lebanon Police Department and its various divisions. Our Analyst works primarily to support the Administrative and Investigative Divisions. A daily, monthly, and quarterly briefing of statistics are created and disseminated to all divisions of the department to ensure transparency and awareness. The Analyst conducts a wide range of analysis in database information and produces analytical products which assist in detecting crime trends, identifying modus operandi, predicting potential criminal activity and targets, and provides statistical data for use in planning most effective use of investigative resources. Our Analyst also prepares written and oral reports from information received from various investigative agencies or outside sources for distribution to other law enforcement elements.
