About Chief Justice
Chief Mike Justice has been serving the City of Lebanon since 1991, dedicating over three decades to law enforcement and public safety. He began his career on patrol and progressed through the ranks, serving as Corporal and Sergeant before being promoted to Public Safety Coordinator in 2002. In 2010, he became the Public Safety Director, overseeing and developing the City’s Emergency Services Department, which supported both Police and Fire services. He was appointed as the department’s Chief in March 2016.
During his 34-year tenure, Chief Justice has served in various specialized roles, including Director of the Police Explorer Program, Homeland Security Liaison between the department and the State of Tennessee, and Meth Lab Response Team Commander. Additionally, he served as a K9 handler, working alongside K9 Prime, who was trained in explosives detection.
Chief Justice has completed extensive training, focusing on CBRNE (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive) awareness and response, as well as terrorism and homeland security. He has also completed the FBI-LEEDA Leadership Trilogy and is a proud member of the Tennessee Association of Chiefs of Police (TACP).
