Emergency Services Unit (E.S.U.)

The Lebanon Police Department's Emergency Services Unit (E.S.U.) is the largest and most versatile unit within the Special Operations Division. This unit is made up of both officers and civilians who are specially trained to respond swiftly and effectively to emergencies of all scales. From natural disasters to severe weather and hazardous incidents such as meth lab discoveries, the E.S.U. is always prepared to serve and protect the community.

In addition to emergency response, the E.S.U. plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and smooth operation of major events hosted in Lebanon. Their presence is vital at large-scale gatherings such as the Wilson County/Tennessee State Fair and the Lebanon Christmas Parade. These events draw significant crowds, and the E.S.U.'s preparedness helps maintain public safety and order.

By combining specialized training and a strong commitment to the community, the Emergency Services Unit enhances the department's ability to address challenges and safeguard residents during both routine and extraordinary circumstances. This team exemplifies the department's dedication to protecting Lebanon in every situation.
