Community Engagement Response Team (C.E.R.T.)

Our Community Engagement Response Team (C.E.R.T.) is the volunteer wing of the Lebanon Police Department, consisting of around 30 dedicated volunteers. This team plays an essential role in supporting the department's operations and serving the community effectively.

The primary function of C.E.R.T. is to assist the police department during special events and critical incidents. By stepping in during these situations, the team helps free up police resources, allowing officers to respond more efficiently to other needs across the city.

You will often find C.E.R.T. members assisting with tasks such as traffic control, motorist assistance, and managing special events. Their presence ensures smoother operations and enhanced public safety during community activities and emergencies.

To learn more about the C.E.R.T. Program, please reach out to the C.E.R.T. coordinator Officer Shell Gardner at Sheldon.gardner@lebanontn.org
