The Lebanon Police Department's K9 Unit consists of six highly trained K9s. These furry friends play a vital role in law enforcement, assisting with a variety of tasks such as non-aggressive and aggressive tracking, narcotics detection, and explosives detection. Their skills make them invaluable not only to our community but also to neighboring communities that lack K9 resources, as they are often called upon to provide assistance.
The Flex Unit, a specialized group within our department, is made up of three K9 officers. These officers collaborate closely with the Narcotics Unit to enhance law enforcement efforts, particularly in combating drug-related activities. In addition to supporting the Narcotics Unit, the Flex Unit frequently conducts directed patrols, addressing specific concerns within the community.
